Living God – voice of Life and sound of silence
Our soul thirsts for the water of life
and our faith calls us into righteousness and wholeness.
In Christ our freedom is revealed
for all are one in Christ.
Together we seek to make real the unity of Love
and live as one Body, the Body of Christ.
Amen

Pray with thanksgiving for every opportunity we have to express the freedom of Love…
Pray that we may each share our journey in faith and in truth – confident in the Life we can bring to each other. Rejoice and delight in the presence of the Divine Spirit. Give thanks for opportunities to give and to receive. Pray for this community (past, present and future) and the communities of which we are a part.
Pray for our young members - and give thanks for all who give them a sense of community and the confidence to look forward with faith and hope. Give thanks for the work and example of our “Elders”, those from whom we inherit much.
Pray for families in crisis, that God’s love will arise and give life - And for refugees who experience the struggle and desire for new life.
Pray for all whose peace is disturbed by the noise of war. For those finding life a struggle and hope diminishing, that we may hear their cry. Give thanks for all that you are and all that you have and for opportunities to give to others. Give thanks for the Divine fullness that we glimpse as we share together in worship.

A Thanksgiving for Wilderness
Creator God, we thank you that you show your face to us in wilderness and desert places.
We praise you for the deep places of the sea, and for coastlines smashed by surf and caressed by gentle waves.
We praise you for the sun-baked, wind-swept lands, and for rocks and mountains older than human memory.
We praise you for the rivers that sculpt the plains, and for salt lakes that wait for the blessing of times of flooding.
We praise you for the fragile life that flourishes in places too hot, too cold, or too dry for human comfort, and for forests rising through tropical rain and cool southern mist.
We thank you for showing your glory in creation to the first people of Australia, and for their long and careful custody of the land.
We thank you for new ways of protecting the land so that future generations may also rejoice in your handiwork.
Give us grace to recognise your wonders in the dust at our feet and the haze on the horizon, and in all the creatures you have made, in their astonishing diversity.
And give us voices to praise you in awe and gratitude, both now and for evermore. Amen

A Sesquicentenary Prayer
Lord of all generations
Bless our celebration of 150 years of ministry with the Diocese of Perth.
We give thanks for those whose dedication and vision enabled the foundation and development of this diocese.
Guide those of us now entrusted with this responsibility.
Encourage us and give us the commitment, enthusiasm and inspiration we need.
May we have breadth of vision and generosity that will enable us to provide a solid foundation of faith for future generations.
We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Daily Prayer from Perth Anglican Diocese See left hand column
Prayer in the tradition of St Paul
Creator of Life, of light and all Love, we pray thee
to fill this house with thy Spirit.
Here may the strong renew their strength and seek
for their working lives a noble consecration.
Here may the poor find succour and the friendless
friendship.
Here may the tempted find power, the sorrowing
comfort and the bereaved find the truth that death
hath no dominion over their beloved.
Here let the fearing find a new courage and the
doubting have their faith and hope confirmed.
Here may the careless be awakened and all that are
oppressed be freed.
Hither may many be drawn by thy love and go
hence, their doubts resolved and faith renewed,
their sins forgiven and their hearts aflame with thy
love.
Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
From the Chapel porch, Pleshey Retreat House, with amended
divine address.
