Divine Spirit of Life and re-Creation….
descending like a dove, your children are anointed in love.
We rejoice in our baptism and know the Divine Spirit
eternally alighting on us and on all peoples..
In Christ, is revealed the precious and the beloved,
and we too are revealed in Love
Together we give and we receive as we share in the abundance of life
that is born out of Love.....
ttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt
Amen
Pray
with thanks for all that we create here in this community... and rejoice in the foundations on which we build... and in the foundations that lay down for others..... Give thanks for the ever-present moment of birth, and for the ever-present reality of Baptism. May we know ourselves a “beloved” and as Divine Creatures of a loving Creator. Give thanks for all who contribute to our lives and to our being, those who share their gifts with us and with others. Pray that we may give of ourselves so that all may be made fully alive. Give thanks for all that is unfolding in creativity and love. Give thanks for all that we share in common with all people and with all faiths - pray that we may hear when others speak of truth. Give thanks for those who bring light into our lives and for the opportunities we have to bring light into the lives of others. Give thanks for our children and for all who will continue the journey that we are on - and build on the foundations we lay. Pray that we might feed others and nurture within ourselves a spirit of compassion.

Almighty God,
you anointed Jesus at his baptism
with the Holy Spirit,
and revealed him as your beloved Son;
grant that we who are baptised into his name
may give up our lives to your service,
and be found worthy of our calling;
through Jesus Christ our Lord
who is alive with you
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God now and for ever.
Amen

“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you.”
Forgive us for listening to - and believing - voices that call us worthless
and unlovable.
“I have called you by name, you are mine.”
Forgive us when we feel imprisoned by our fears - fear of pain,
of loneliness, of death.
“When you pass through trying times which threaten to engulf you, I will be with you.”
Forgive our negative feelings about ourselves and other people.
“You are precious in my sight, and honoured, and I love you.”
Loving and merciful God, forgive us when we allow our fears and our
worries to stifle your voice of love. Help us to hear your words of love
reverberate in every corner of our being so that we know that we too are
your beloved, on whom your favour rests. Amen

A Sesquicentenary Prayer
Lord of all generations
Bless our celebration of 150 years of ministry with the Diocese of Perth.
We give thanks for those whose dedication and vision enabled the foundation and development of this diocese.
Guide those of us now entrusted with this responsibility.
Encourage us and give us the commitment, enthusiasm and inspiration we need.
May we have breadth of vision and generosity that will enable us to provide a solid foundation of faith for future generations.
We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Daily Prayer from Perth Anglican Diocese See left hand column
Prayer in the tradition of St Paul
Creator of Life, of light and all Love, we pray thee
to fill this house with thy Spirit.
Here may the strong renew their strength and seek
for their working lives a noble consecration.
Here may the poor find succour and the friendless
friendship.
Here may the tempted find power, the sorrowing
comfort and the bereaved find the truth that death
hath no dominion over their beloved.
Here let the fearing find a new courage and the
doubting have their faith and hope confirmed.
Here may the careless be awakened and all that are
oppressed be freed.
Hither may many be drawn by thy love and go
hence, their doubts resolved and faith renewed,
their sins forgiven and their hearts aflame with thy
love.
Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
From the Chapel porch, Pleshey Retreat House, with amended
divine address.
