Quilting

The Quilting Group began in April 2000 when a group of six got together to learn the basics of quilting. Experienced quilter Judith Whitaker agreed to lead them and share some of her knowledge and skills. Since its inception, the group has made 20 sampler quilts. Many of the original quilters have stayed on, some have moved on, new ones are joining all the time. Their mission is to pass on the basic techniques of patchwork and quilting to anyone wanting to learn, regardless of sewing skill or ability to pay. Any money raised buys materials for raffle quilts or is used in various small ways around the Parish. The group is currently making a quilt for each of the children in a nearby foster home supported in part by the Parish of St Paul's. Meets on Saturday afternoons at 1.30 in the hall. Enquiries to Judith Whitaker, 9434 6989.Top

St Paul's Men's Group

The St Paul's Men's Community meet together for lunch and sharing on the first Sunday of every month at the Fremantle Sailing Club. The intention is to support each other in our journey through life -- religious and otherwise -- to identify projects and processes within St Paul's that need more male attention, and to ensure that other men in contact with the St Paul's community are made welcome and supported in any time of need. For more information, contact Chris Williams 9335 5770 Top
